Assistant Coach Clark Wright

Coach Clark Wright is in his fifth year as Head Coach at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in North Georgia. The school has been to the final four twice in 2021/2022 and Elite 8 in 2023.  They train players from all over the country and the world. They have won conference the past three years and have produced excellent players from Juco to Division one and two commits including several high school MLB prospects.  

    He also runs his own player development program with an emphasis on hitting combined with strength and conditioning called Big Dawg Baseball circa 2009, which has helped over 50 college athletes and several MLB current players pursuing their dreams.  The program has helped players in the US, all over Europe, and Uganda.  See: bigdawgtraining.org


 For summer baseball Coach Wright has coached with top teams in the country including: US Elite (#16 in US) , Team Evolution, and Real Ballers as the hitting coach helping send players to top Universities including UVA, Duke, Penn State, Wake Forest, St Johns, Michigan, Maryland, West Virginia and many others. 

    Coach Wright played for the University of Georgia Bulldogs JV team for four years competing against top jucos and other programs throughout the country.  He saw playing time as a freshman at second base and helped the team to be ranked top 20 every year.  He then went on to play professionally in Europe signing in Hungary with the Debrecen Tigers in 2018.  While in Hungary he was the hitting coach for the U18 Hungarian National Team, gaining wins against Poland and Slovenia.

     Coach Wright puts an emphasis on Mental Performance as a student of Brian Cain and Bruce Wright.  He believes combining health in body, mind, and spirit will help on and off the diamond.  He was also nominated for the Georgia Positive Coach of the Year Award in 2021 and 2023. His main mission is to help players progress towardr their dreams while teaching them to be a great teammate.
